The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is one of five research teams in the Early Learning Network. The team’s studies are taking place in six rural counties in North Carolina

 

In a new video, Margaret Burchinal, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill principal investigator, shares unique perspectives about her team’s research studies.

 

“About 40 percent of our children’s home language is Spanish, so we’re really interested in looking at how they are acquiring English in these English-only classrooms,” Burchinal said.
