Spanish-language webinar addresses the transition to kindergarten amid COVID-19

Ximena Franco, Ph.D., a researcher from the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, led a May 21 webinar in Spanish based on the Early Learning Network’s recent COVID-19 blog series.

The webinar, hosted via Zoom video conference by the Peruvian American Chamber of Commerce, is available to watch online.

Franco’s presentation, “Cómo Ayudar a Los Niños Pequeños en Casa Durante la Pandemia: Estrategias para Apoyar a Sus Hijos con la Transición a Kinder Desde Casa,” highlights ways parents can support their child’s transition to kindergarten from home, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding the 2020-21 academic year.
